On behalf of the Graduate School, we extend our congratulations to the Vice Chancellor ,Prof Nana Aba Appiah Amfo on her outstanding achievement of winning the Excellence in Education Award at the Ghana Women of the Year Honours 2023 held at the Labadi hotel on the 9th July,2023.

This prestigious recognition is a testament to her dedication, exceptional leadership, and remarkable contributions to the field of education.

GRASAG-UG Research Series -1

The Graduate Students Association of Ghana, Legon (GRASAG-Legon) recently organized the first of their GRASAG RESEARCH SERIES. This session with Dr. Samuel Adjololoo, a Senior Lecturer from the School of Nursing was under the theme "Systematic Review of Literature". The program successfully happened on the 23rd of November, 2023 at the School of Public Health Auditorium.

GRASAG AT YOUR DOORSTEP: LEGON HALL ANNEX C

The Graduate Students' Association of Ghana, University of Ghana (GRASAG-UG), continues its commitment to strengthening the bond between graduate students and the association through the second edition of "GRASAG AT YOUR DOORSTEP." This innovative initiative aims to bring the association closer to the student community by organizing engaging events right at their doorsteps. The event, held at the Legon Hall Annex C, Graduate Block on 11th June 2023, transformed into a vibrant hub of excitement and friendly competition as students gathered for a memorable fun and games night.

The third edition of GRASAG AT YOUR DOORSTEP took place at the vibrant Akuafo Hall of the University of Ghana. The event was a perfect blend of productive activities and enjoyable moments, aiming to create an environment where students could feel comfortable expressing their concerns and connecting with fellow peers.

On Saturday, May 27th, 2023, the Graduate Students Association of Ghana-Legon (GRASAG-Legon) successfully hosted the highly anticipated event, "GRASAG at Your Doorstep: Valco 1 & 2 Chapter." The event provided a thrilling combination of invigorating fitness activities and engaging talk time that left participants energized and inspired.

GRASAG-LEGON RESEARCH AND GRANT CLINIC - SESSION 1

 

The Research and Grant Clinic - Session 1, held on May 26, 2023, at the University of Ghana, provided an exceptional platform for graduate students to enhance their research and scholarship application skills. The event, organiSed by the university, focused on three key areas: Thesis/Dissertation Writing Workshop, Scholarship Opportunities, and Applications.

World Menstrual Health Day: Cycle Care

The Women's Commission of the University of Ghana Graduate Student's Association recently organised a two-day outreach program called "Cycle Care" to commemorate World Menstrual Hygiene Day. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene management and promote the use of safe and clean menstrual products among school girls. The participating schools, including University Staff Village Basic School, Royal Child School, Madina Number 1 & 4 Primary, and Madina Number 1, 2, and 3 Junior High School, benefitted from this project. 

ORID-GRASAG GRANT WRITING WORKSHOP

The University of Ghana Graduate Students' Association of Ghana (GRASAG-UG) in collaboration with the Office of Research Innovation and Development has organized a four-day workshop for postgraduate students on research grant writing.

Commissioning of SNAS Refurbished Reading Room

The reading room at the Francis K.A.  Allotey building, Graduate School of Nuclear and Allied Sciences (Atomic campus) was refurbished to meet graduate standards. The existing structures (furniture, lighting, electrical works, aesthetic appeal, ventilation etc.) were in a deplorable state, hence was fully replaced by a new set to meet the standards of Graduate studies.

The project commenced on 21st December,2021 and was completed on 21st January, 2021.
